Bring your chairs and blankets, find your spot for the parade that starts at 5 pm, there will be floats, marching bands, community groups and more!

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the Hometown Holiday Celebration will take place in Downtown Pleasanton. The annual celebration consists of a parade that begins at 5 p.m. and is followed by the annual tree lighting at 6:45p.m. in front of the Museum on Main. The parade will begin after the Main Street Bridge, before The Pleasanton Hotel at 5 p.m., and proceed south along Main Street to Old Bernal Avenue. The event is rain or shine.

 Set up for the parade will begin Friday afternoon as porta potties will be delivered and signage will be posted throughout the downtown area. Main Street will be closed starting at 2:30pm.

On Saturday beginning at 11am deliveries of extra garbage cans, barricades and stages will take place with caution. Three stages will be delivered and set up at the locations listed below:  

·         In front of Bay Commercial Bank  

·         In front of the Museum on Main 

·         In front of US Bank
