Claire Maen is a young photographer and writer from France. She tries to capture the poetic beauty of post-industrial landscapes and ordinary life with her old Rolleiflex camera. She learned photography with her father, a talented amateur photographer from France. Despite our world turning digital, Claire believes in the power and beauty of film photography, and its delicate colors. She has been living in Pleasanton for several years now, and she is also a researcher in Education and a teacher at UC Berkeley. She lives with her husband, their young daughter and their cat.
